E-Scooter Safety: Smart Helmet and Vibrating Handlebars

Project Abstract

With the increase of e-scooters and e-bikes as a mean of transportation in major cities, there comes a lot of new and difficult safety precautions. Our goal is to design and prototype the future of helmets in order to keep riders protected at all cost. These futuristic modifications on the helmets consists of a HUD that shows speed and direction, a camera for object recognitions to communicate with the vibrating handlebars for blind-side detection.
