Boulder County Post-Fire Mitigation Response

Project Abstract

The Calwood wildfire burned 10,106 acres above Geer Canyon within Boulder County, Colorado. The fire was sparked on October 17, 2020, and was extinguished on November 14, 2020. The fire event put a portion of the county’s watershed and transportation infrastructure in jeopardy. This project includes a visual assessment of the damage and design of mitigation components to reduce soil erosion risk to the transportation infrastructure.
