Project Abstract
Our project is to design and construct a single seat off-road vehicle. This project came about from a shared passion for off-road vehicles, metal fabrication, and engineering. We set about using things that we have learned over the course of an undergraduate mechanical engineering degree to design a vehicle that could travel quickly over rough terrain. We chose to make a small, single seat, two-wheel drive vehicle so that we could reduce the cost and complexity of the project to a manageable level while still learning things that apply to larger future projects.
