The College of Engineering, Design and Computing makes available a variety of undergraduate and graduate scholarship funds generously given by industry, alumni and other donors to support the education of engineering students.
Once admitted, students may apply for college-based scholarships through the student portal. A list of scholarships for which the student is eligible automatically populates.

Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS) Foundation Scholarship – available to U.S. citizens studying to complete degrees in science, engineering and medical research. Applicants must have achieved sophomore, junior, senior or graduate standing by the start of the upcoming academic year with a 3.5 GPA or higher. Applicants must be enrolled full-time, prepared to complete a full academic year of study, and demonstrate financial need.
Akram and Samar Atallah Scholarship – available to undergraduate students enrolled in undergraduate engineering programs. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Preference given to first-generation college students.
Andrew and Nancy Sokal Engineering Scholarship – available to undergraduate students. Applicants must have in-state residency status for tuition purposes and be enrolled in six (6) or more credit hours per semester with a 2.5 GPA or higher. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
Associated General Contractors of Colorado Endowed Scholarship – available to undergraduate and graduate students with a preference to students pursuing a degree in construction management or construction engineering and management.
Bernie Hoczur Scholarship – available to undergraduate students. Applicants must have in-state residency status for tuition purposes and be enrolled in six (6) or more credit hours per semester with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Applicants must demonstrate strong communication skills, an appreciation for the arts and a commitment to service to the community.
Campos – available to incoming freshmen qualifications include first-generation college student, an incoming freshman, will graduate or has graduated from a Colorado high school, having a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or greater, and participating in a student organization. Returning Campos Scholars must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 before the start of each fall semester and demonstrate financial need.
Christopher M. Utz Memorial Scholarship – available to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the mechanical engineering degree program.
Cina C. Saliba Memorial Scholarship – available to undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Engineering at the University of Colorado Denver or enrolled at the University of Colorado Anschutz with a career GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference given to students engaging in cancer research, specifically pancreatic cancer. Financial need will also be considered. Students impacted by cancer through an immediate family member are encouraged to apply. NOTE: Applications to this scholarship are only accepted through OnBase at www.ucdenver.edu/saliba
Civil Engineering Faculty Scholarship – available to undergraduate and graduate students in the civil engineering program. Applicants must have in-state residency status and be enrolled in three (3) or more credit hours per semester. Undergraduate students must possess a 2.5 GPA or higher. Graduate students must possess a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Construction Engineering and Management Scholarship – available to students enrolled in the Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, and Management program. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and demonstrate financial need.
Clarence V. LaGuardia – available to undergraduate and graduate students. First preference given to applicants majoring in electrical engineering, second preference given to graduates of North High School and third preference given to graduates of the Denver Public School system. However, other well-qualified students may also be considered.
Dr. Glady's West – The Trimble Foundation established the Dr. Gladys West Scholarship available provide financial support to students seeking careers in technology who will be future industry leaders. The scholarship program will be used to provide undergraduate scholarship awards forstudents enrolled in the Construction Engineering and Management program in the College of Engineering, Design and Computing (the "College") at the University of Colorado Denver. The scholarship is seeking students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and who demonstrate financial need.
Dr. John R. Mays Endowed Scholarship Fund in Civil Engineering – available to juniors and seniors enrolled in Civil Engineering who have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Engineering Dean's Scholarship – available to undergraduate students who demonstrate participation and leadership in on- and off-campus activities such as student chapters of professional organizations, honorary organizations, community work, and civic or professional organizations. Applicants must possess a 2.5 GPA or higher for at least 24 credit hours completed at CU Denver.
Engineering Leadership Council Scholarship – available to undergraduate students enrolled full-time (at least 12 credits) and in good academic standing with a 2.0 GPA or higher. The deadline is June 1.
Gary and Kathy Meggison Construction Engineering Management – Scholarship available to undergraduate students enrolled in the Undergraduate Construction Engineering Management Minor at CU Denver. Preference given to first-generation college students who graduated from a U.S. high school.
Gregory Balint Civil Engineering – available to undergraduate students studying in civil engineering who demonstrate financial need.
Grover W. Hall, Jr. Memorial Scholarship – available to incoming or current undergraduate students. Applicants must be in good academic standing and demonstrate financial need. Preference given to first-generation college students.
Helen S. and Charles W. Lerch Scholarship – available to undergraduate students. Applicants must have in-state residency status for tuition purposes and be enrolled in six (6) or more credits per semester. Applicants must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher and demonstrate financial need.
Jacques I. Pankove Engineering Scholarship – available to undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants must demonstrate the capacity to be creative and the ability to enlarge the world with new ideas. Jeffery Delaney –available to all engineering students who demonstrate need-based.
Joe Cullen – In honor of Professor Joe Cullen’s 47-year career in the Mechanical Engineering Department. The Fund will be used to provide scholarship awards for both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering Department in the College. Scholarship recipients will be selected in accordance with established procedures for awarding merit-based scholarships.
John D. and Mercedes L. Peebles Scholarship – available to undergraduate engineering students.
Knott Family Scholarship – available to undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants must demonstrate scholastic ability and financial need.
Mark P. Hadley – available for Engineering undergraduate students who demonstrate financialneed and graduate from a high school in the United States.
Mieczyslaw Altman Endowed Scholarship – available to graduate students enrolled in the Ph.D. degree in computer science. Applicants must demonstrate excellence in academic achievement.
Paul Ahnberg – available to provide graduate scholarship awards for students pursuing an advanced degree in Civil Engineering.
R. Kirk Brogden Scholarship – available to undergraduate students who demonstrate high intelligence, strength in character, optimism and outstanding aptitude as evidenced by high SAT/ACT scores, percentile ranking in high school class, extracurricular activities and leadership roles. Applicants must possess a 3.0 GPA or higher and demonstrate financial need. First preference given to students enrolled in the mechanical engineering program; however, other well-qualified students may also be considered.
Raytheon Scholarship – available to undergraduate students majoring in electrical engineering or computer science. Applicants must qualify for in-state tuition and be enrolled in six (6) or more credit hours per semester with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Applicants must have completed 60 hours of coursework that applies toward their degree and demonstrate financial need. Preference given to students transferring from the Community College of Aurora.
Richard E. Dakin Cybersecurity Scholarship Fund – available to students pursing a degree in cybersecurity.
Terry A. Fischer Scholarship – available to undergraduate and graduate students majoring in electrical engineering or computer science. Applicants must qualify for Colorado in-state tuition and be enrolled in six (6) or more credit hours per semester. Undergraduate students must possess a 2.75 GPA or higher. Graduate students must possess a 3.75 GPA or higher. Applicants must demonstrate a professional attitude and high standards of moral, legal and ethical behavior; be active members of at least one professional organization; and be likely to continue a positive lifetime involvement with CU Denver.
Theofanis G. Gavrilis Scholarship – available to undergraduate and graduate students majoring in electrical engineering or computer science. Applicants must qualify for Colorado in-state tuition and be enrolled in six (6) or more credit hours per semester. Undergraduate students must possess a 2.75 GPA or higher. Graduate students must possess a 3.75 GPA or higher. Applicants must demonstrate a professional attitude and high standards of moral, legal and ethical behavior; be active members of at least one professional organization; and be likely to continue a positive lifetime involvement with CU Denver.
Tom and Becky Arnberg Scholarship – available to undergraduate mechanical engineering students who have achieved junior or senior standing with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Applicants must demonstrate leadership skills through involvement and achievement in students, community and/or Department of Mechanical Engineering activities.
Trimble Construction Engineering and Management Scholarship Fund – available to undergraduate students in the Construction Engineering Management program.
William J. O'Hare Scholarship – available to undergraduate students majoring in civil engineering. Applicants must have in-state residency status for tuition purposes and be enrolled in six (6) or more credit hours per semester with a 2.5 GPA or higher.
