Bioengineering Scholars Program

 

• Community college transfer students entering their first year of any engineering program within the College of Engineering, Design, and Computing with an interest in bioengineering. (Open to all STEM disciplines)

• Individuals from underrepresented populations in the U.S. biomedical research enterprise as defined by the NIH.

Students accepted to the BSP will receive a $21,500 stipend to complete the 15-month program which includes:

• Pre-transfer advising to maximize credit transfer and scholarship opportunities
• Summer Bridge Program in design and computational thinking
• On campus paid apprenticeship in engineering research laboratories on the Denver campus and Anschutz Medical Campus.
• Summer research experience at the Anschutz Medical Campus in biomedical research labs
• $1500 in training expenses to support purchase of computer or travel to a conference.

Students that successfully complete the program will be admitted to the Department of Bioengineering MS or PhD programs.
