Seizure Alert System

Project Abstract

Emily is an 11-year-old who suffers from seizures; she is one of the 450,000 American children with epilepsy. We designed a detector suite, a watch, a collar, and phone apps for the unmet needs of active, independent kids. Our interactive package senses impending seizure events, alerts the child, and guides caregivers in and after a seizure. Our devices read neural and skin activity, track events, evaluate trends in body/brain function with neurologist to predict, and potentially prevent seizures and related injuries.
