Admissions criteria

There are multiple pathways for admission into each of the five bachelor of science degree programs (bioengineering, civil engineering, computer science, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering) and the bachelor of arts in computer science.  Applicants who meet the direct admissions criteria are directly admitted into their chosen program of study (major). Applicants who do not meet the criteria for direct admission to a major will be evaluated for admission to pre-engineering with a major interest. Students who enroll in pre-engineering, will be admitted into a major after successfully completing the requirements to transfer into that major.

NOTE: Admission to pre-engineering does not guarantee admission to a major.

Applicants who do not meet the criteria for admission to a major or pre-engineering, but otherwise meet the the university’s admissions criteria, will be offered admission to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as an undeclared major.
