NOI due 1 Oct | The Science of PACE

NASA

The Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem (PACE) program operates the Ocean Colour Instrument (OCI) which spans from the ultraviolet to near-infrared spectral regions, with an additional seven discrete shortwave infrared bands. This instrument is complemented by two small, multi-angle polarimeters with spectral ranges that span the visible to near-infrared region. The capabilities of the OCI not only extend atmospheric and ocean data records from the EOS-era instruments, but PACE also observes the terrestrial biosphere and cryosphere, providing additional measurements of the Earth system at unprecedented hyperspectral resolution.

This ROSES element requests proposals that focus on innovative uses of PACE data to answer integrated disciplinary or inter-disciplinary Earth system science research and applied questions. These investigations must focus on pursuing research within and/or across the Earth System (atmospheric, cryospheric, terrestrial, and aquatic environments), quantifying change, characterizing processes, and improving the understanding of the functioning of the Earth System’s components and the interactions among them.
