This is the annual open call for the Office of Science at the Department of Energy, and is for the following program areas:
- Advanced Scientific Computing Research
- Basic Energy Sciences
- Biological and Environmental Research
- Fusion Energy Sciences
- High Energy Physics
- Nuclear Physics
- Isotope R&D and Production
- Accelerator R&D and Production.
Historically, project periods are 3 years long, but can range from 6 months to 5 years. The historical minimum is $5K/year, and the historic maximum is $5M/year. Historically, 200-350 new awards have been made each year. Cost sharing is not required.
