12 April | Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Program

AFOSR

This program supports projects that establish, build, and/or maintain STEM educational pathways and workforce opportunities in the following topic areas: 

• Engineering and Complex Systems
• Information and Networks
• Physical Sciences 
• Chemistry and Biological Sciences

Projects must aim to increase engagement in STEM through education and outreach to students and the current workforce with the goal of enhancing critical skills, and should meet DOD’s overall STEM goals:

• stimulating community engagement in DOD STEM programs to ensure opportunities are impactful; 
• utilizing multiple different career pathways that appeal to the current and future STEM workforce; 
• broadening participation in STEM education; and 
• using evaluation and assessment tools to improve the efficacy and efficiency of STEM education and workforce programs
