Alert: Canvas Outage Update
Canvas access has been restored for our users, but the service reliability remains uncertain. Due to recent events, Canvas has had intermittent outages which are at the discretion of the vendor and may occur during a final exam. Faculty and staff may continue to use Canvas, but we strongly advise faculty and students to prepare a contingency plan for turning in assignments and final exams in the event Canvas access becomes unavailable again.

The Core Medium and OAC submission deadlines have been moved to October. Medium and OAC Core proposals submitted before 23 Dec 2022 do not count towards the limit of number of proposals per PI, co-PI, or Senior Personnel.
The NSF Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) supports transformative research and education projects that develop new knowledge in all aspects of computing, communications, and information science and engineering, and advanced cyberinfrastructure through three divisions and one office:
- Computing and Communication Foundations (CCF): supports research that studies the foundations of computing and communication.
- Computer and Network Systems (CNS): supports research that studies novel or enhanced computing and/or networking, including using new technologies or new ways to apply existing technologies, with a focus on systems.
- Information and Intelligent Systems (IIS): supports research that studies the inter-related roles of people, computers, and information.
- Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure (OAC): supports translational research and education activities in all aspects of advanced cyberinfrastructure that lead to systems capable of transforming science and engineering research.
