Aims to support research to improve numerical models, technologies, and data utilization techniques that could advance specification and/or forecasting capabilities and which could also lead to improved scientific understanding. The two application-oriented areas of focus for this opportunity are high-latitude radiation exposure and impacts on avionics and air travel, and downstream updating of solar wind and CME forecasts.
