Energysheds: Exploring Place-Based Generation

This request for information is intended to inform the U.S. Department of Energy by providing input and feedback on the concept of an “energyshed” as well as the benefits of and barriers to energyshed management systems. The DOE is seeking input on the concept and operational bounds of an energyshed, the value and uses of tracking the location of energy serving a particular load area for different stakeholders, and specific capabilities and information that would be most useful for that end among other topics.
