Generating RF with Photonic Oscillators for low Noise (GRYPHON)
DARPA
The DARPA Microsystems Technology Office is soliciting innovative research proposals to develop compact, lownoise microwave frequency synthesizers to enable advanced sensing and communication applications. GRYPHON will pursue advanced prototype development as well as research studies into novel microwave generation techniques and components. In addition to the primary focus on performance and integration, later program phases will harden GRYPHON prototypes to basic environmental stresses sufficient to validate the technology for application-specific maturation after the conclusion of the program.
