This is a special funding opportunity announcement in support of the research objectives of the Department of Defense's Space University Research Initiative, sponsored by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research and the Air Force Research Laboratory Chief Technologist Office. The program was initiated as a pilot to foster engagements between various DoD agencies and the academic community in a developing U.S. Space Force University Consortium. AFOSR anticipates making at least two awards of up to $1,000,000 per year per award, for a maximum of five years.
