Preliminary proposal due 11 Feb 2025 | Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP)

NSF

The AGEP program goal to increase the number of historically underrepresented minority faculty in STEM. In the context of the AGEP program, the AGEP populations are defined as STEM doctoral candidates, postdoctoral scholars and faculty, who are African Americans, Hispanic Americans, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Native Pacific Islanders. The NSF AGEP program seeks to fund grants that advance and enhance the systemic factors that support equity and inclusion and, consequently, mitigate the systemic inequities in the academic profession and workplace. There are two tracks:

  • Institutional Transformation Alliance (TA) supports innovative systemic and institutional change strategies promoting equity for AGEP populations within similar IHEs.
  • Catalyst Alliance (ACA) supports organizational self-assessments to identify inequities affecting the AGEP population. This is a facilitator grant to generate the foundation necessary to initiate an ITA project.
