This certificate is designed for students and professionals who would like to obtain and demonstrate skills and abilities in AI. The certificate consists of graduate-level courses in AI, including materials on analysis and evaluation, application and practice, and ethical and responsible use of AI. The certificate program in Advanced AI will provide participants with advanced skills and abilities to critically analyze, evaluate, and responsibly apply AI systems to interpret information, support decision-making, and address problems across personal, social, institutional, and global contexts.
This certificate is open to current CSMS students, qualified non-degree-seeking students, and graduate students enrolled in other CU Denver programs. Graduate students from outside CSMS must receive approval from both their home department and the certificate director prior to enrollment.
Participants should have prior knowledge in Fundamentals of Computing and Python Programming, Linear Algebra, and Algorithms.
To declare this certificate, please submit the Intent to Complete a Graduate Certificate Form.
Students need to complete the following three graduate-level courses:
And one of the following:
*Prior approval of the director of the track & faculty advisor
Students must take and pass each course with a grade of B- or better and earn a GPA of at least 3.0 to obtain the Cyber Security and Defense Certificate.
