AI & Data Science Track — MS in Computer Science

The AI & Data Science track is offered under the Computer Science Master of Science degree program.

With the pervasive role of artificial intelligence in contemporary life, it is desirable for students and professionals to demonstrate the ability to critically analyze, evaluate, and responsibly apply AI systems to interpret information, support decision-making, and address problems across personal, social, institutional, and global contexts. 

This track is designed for students and professionals who would like to obtain and demonstrate skills and abilities in AI and Data Science. The track consists of graduate-level courses in AI, including materials on analysis and evaluation, application and practice, and ethical and responsible use of AI.

Eligibility

Students who are in the process of obtaining a Computer Science Master of Science degree are eligible.

Requirements

The AI & Data Science track requires the completion of the following requirements:

• A minimum of 30 total credit hours. 
• A minimum of 9 credits in Category A.
• A minimum of 18 credits (maximum of 21 credits) in Category B.

• Successful completion of degree requirements under Plan I, Plan II, or Plan III.
