The Department of Bioengineering, situated on the Anschutz Medical Campus, provides unparalleled instructional resources for biomedical engineering and health sciences.
The Anschutz Medical Campus is the largest academic health center in the Rocky Mountain region. It is home to more than 1,300 funded investigators, the CU health professional schools, two nationally ranked hospitals, and a growing bioscience industry complex.
The Department of Bioengineering offers graduate and undergraduate degree programs, as well as certificates and dual-degree options.
Innovative, interconnected, and highly collaborative, the Anschutz Medical Campus is the best place in Colorado to be an engineer.
Applicants to the PhD or Master of Science in Bioengineering should meet the following minimum requirements:
Students without these pre-requisite courses may be required to take additional relevant undergraduate courses during their first year in the program; any such requirements will be specifically determined by the Bioengineering Graduate Affairs Committee on a case-by-case basis and will be made known to the applicant at the time of acceptance to the program. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred (but not required) for admission to the program. Applicants with a GPA below the preferred level may still apply but have a lower chance of admission.
Masters

"I was driven to the Bioengineering program here at the University of Colorado given its affiliation with the reputable Anschutz Medical Campus. Being a part of Anschutz has allowed me and my peers to collaborate across multiple disciplines and specialties. It's a plus that Denver has the best of the city life and mountain life, making life outside of school truly a dream come true. I'm enthusiastic about the many career opportunities available to me in the Denver area."
