Robotics Design + Challenge Camp

June 22 - 26, 2020

Are you fascinated with robotics? Do you like to program things? Are you interested in engineering? Then spend a week with us where you will learn the programming and electronic circuit concepts needed to interact with a robot’s sensors and actuators. You'll learn each sensor’s capabilities, build a car-like robot, and test its performance in a variety of challenges.

The best part? You get to take home your robot at week’s end.

What you'll learn

  • Programming in Arduino C++
  • Signal processing
  • Simple electronic circuits
  • Data visualization
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting errors
  • Physical computing

What you'll create

  • Robot that performs autonomous tasks
  • Designs for measuring and improving performance
  • Test courses for robot navigation
  • Program code that can be modified for future projects

Camp FAQs

Coronavirus statement

The Engineering + Innovation Camp staff is closely monitoring the outbreak of the coronavirus. At this time, we intend to hold all camp programs as scheduled. If the outbreak continues locally and/or nationally through the end of April and seems likely to extend into the summer, we will cancel the camps. If we do cancel the camps, full refunds will be given back to families. Additionally, if we do hold the camps, we will give a full refund to anyone who isn't comfortable attending due to coronavirus concerns up to a week before the camp starts.

We want to reiterate that we don't anticipate that we will have to cancel any camp programs this summer but are prepared to act upon CDC and state government recommendations. We will you updated as the situation evolves.
