Ask the Expert: adVentures in Innovation

The CCTSI, in collaboration with Venture Partners at CU Boulder, CSU Ventures, Colorado State University and the CU Anschutz NIH-funded Research Evaluation and Commercialization Hubs (REACH) program presents Ask the Expert: adVentures in Innovation.

On February 14, 2022, at noon, Wendi Burkhardt, co-founder and CEO of Silvernest, will present "Traveling the Entrepreneurial Path."

Wendi is an accomplished founder and entrepreneur experienced in working with venture and private equity-backed startups, emerging and rapid-growth technology companies and social impact ventures.

Most recently, as Co-Founder and CEO, Wendi led the strategic vision for Silvernest, scaling the company’s technology platform, driving nationwide expansion, and creating impact-driven housing solutions for the future. She is recognized as a thought-leader pioneering new ideas which enable the rapidly growing aging population to surmount many of the financial and social challenges facing them as they age in the 21st Century. Silvernest was acquired in March of 2020 by Finance of America Companies (a Blackstone Group portfolio company).

Wendi is currently focused on her next venture while continuing to dedicate time as a board member, advisor and mentor with a passion for social impact and female-led businesses. Additionally, as a seasoned presenter, Wendi is widely invited to speak on the industry’s largest stages, and she is frequently quoted in the media. She has been featured on the TODAY show, CNBC, NPR, The New York Times and many other outlets.
